They did cover all the bases, almost, and would be looking to get into the tournament with a better plan. Rajat Patidar is the new skipper of RCB

RCB didn’t go for their former skipper Faf du Plessis in the mega auctions. Therefore, they had to name a captain from the existing batch of players. The team management has lent their trust to star batter Rajat Patidar to take the captaincy reigns for the upcoming season. Patidar has been the skipper of Madhya Pradesh’s team in the domestic circuit but will be leading an IPL side for the first time.
