Josh Hazlewood (RCB)
The Australian right-arm pacer and RCB’s 12.5 Crores signee has been out of action since the first Border Gavaskar Trophy Test in December last year. Hazlewood joined the RCB setup on 15th March but is nursing a hip injury and there is no robust news on when he will be available to play.

Anrich Nortje (KKR)
South African speedster and KKR’s 6.25 Crores signee Anrich Nortje is nursing a back injury that kept him out of action ever since the 2024 T20 World Cup in July. Although he has joined the KKR camp, he may not be rushed into the eleven before attaining full fitness.

Hardik Pandya (MI)
The Mumbai Indians skipper will be missing only the opening game for his side slated to be played against Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk on 23rd March. Hardik will have to sit out as he will be serving a one-match ban for slow over rate, a penalty which he got bestowed during MI’s last game of the previous season.
Jacob Bethell (RCB)
English all-rounder Jacob Bethell suffered a hamstring injury during England’s 1st ODI against India in January this year. His injury kept him at bat during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Bethell has joined RCB’s camp, but we will have to see if he is available for selection right from the very first game.

Jasprit Bumrah (MI)
One of the biggest bowlers in the league, Jasprit Bumrah, is all set to miss the first few games for MI. The right-arm pacer sustained a back injury during India’s final Test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The injury forced him to restrain from bowling in the second innings and since then the pacer has been out of action.
Mayank Yadav (LSG)
Lucknow Super Giants’ 11 Crore retention Mayak Yadav is nursing a Lumbar stress injury. The pacer is currently in rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and we hope he gets fit soon to bowl some snotters in the IPL 2025.
Harry Brook (DC)
English batter Harry Brook who was signed for INR 6.25 Crores in the IPL 2025 mega auctions, has withdrawn his name from this edition to focus on his England career. Brook had to pay a hefty penalty for this decision as under the new IPL guidelines, he is now banned from the league for the next 2 years. DC is yet to name a replacement for Brook.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s skipper Pat Cummins is suffering from an ankle injury. The seamer has been out of action ever since the Border Gavaskar Trophy in January and missed Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka and also the marquee ICC event, the Champions Trophy. Although he has made himself available for IPL 2025, it remains interesting to see if Cummins will start from the very first game or not.
