Still, this must have been a one-off performance as both these bowlers are proven match-winners.
Kolkata Knight Riders should have more questions to answer going into this game. After all, they suffered a big seven-wicket defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In fact, it was a one-sided affair in the end as RCB chased down the 175-run target in just 16.2 overs. KKR may still have most of the core of the title-winning side from last season, but they also lost high-profile players in the shape of Phil Salt, Mitchell Starc, and Shreyas Iyer. The Australian speedster was missed the most, as KKR’s bowling lacked the cutting edge.
That said, the reigning champions have plenty of match winners. They should be in the mix for the playoffs this season as well.
