Gujarat Giants stared the season with a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore Women team. But the manner of the defeat would certainly hurt the team the most. Despite posting a huge total of 201/5 in 20 overs, the UP-W failed to defend the total against Smriti Mandhana and Co., losing the match by six wickets. That said, the batting performance would give the team a huge boost going into the rest of the tournament.
