The 15-member South Africa squad was announced to face Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025. Both teams will clash from June 11 to 15 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London to win an all-important ICC title.
On that note, let’s take a look at Predicted South Africa Playing XI.
South Africa’s Predicted XI for AUS vs SA WTC Final 2025
South Africa’s Predicted XI: David Bedingham, Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Temba Bavuma (c), Tristan Stubbs, Kyle Verreynne (wk), Corbin Bosch/Wiaan Mulder, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj
The experienced batter, Aiden Markram is likely to be opening for the side against Australia in the WTC Final. With consistent scores and him being the finest batter for the side in this cycle, David Bedingham might pip Tony de Zorzi for a role of second opener.
Ryan Rickelton, who possesses an average of over 55 in the last six Tests and did well for Mumbai Indians in IPL will come in at No. 3. Meanwhile, skipper Temba Bavuma and Tristan Stubbs will be the subsequent batters, and Kyle Verreynne serving as the keeper.
The team management will have a tough choice to make between Corbin Bosch and Wiaan Mulder for No. 8 spot. Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada will be the frontline pacers for the Proteas. Keshav Maharaj will be the lone spinner in the XI.
Lungi Ngidi returns to the squad after recovering from a groin injury, but is unlikely to play the game.
