India’s newly appointed ODI vice-captain, Shubman Gill, gave an update regarding Virat’s availability during the post-match presentation in Nagpur when he was awarded the Man of the Match award. Gill said,
“Virat Kohli bhai had knee swelling, but there’s nothing to worry about. He will be fit and fine for the next match.”
This is one massive news for all the Kohli fans, as they can expect their favorite son to play the second England vs India ODI in Cuttack.
Who will Virat Kohli replace in the eleven for England vs India 2nd ODI?
Well, it is always tough to tweak the winning combination, but not when the incoming batter is of Virat Kohli’s stature. The 36-year-old will rush back to the eleven, replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal, who didn’t impress much on his ODI debut.
Virat will be back to his very own No. 3 slot, whereas Man of the Match from the last game, Shubman Gill, will be going back to his opening slot alongside skipper Rohit Sharma.
