Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have replaced Shardul Thakur with Mayank Yadav in their playing 11 for the 45th match of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 27).
Mayank Yadav was sidelined for the first half of IPL 2025 due to an injury and has finally returned to Lucknow Super Giants and will play his first match of the season against five-time champions Mumbai Indians. He picked up seven wickets in four matches during his debut season with LSG in Indian Premier League 2024.
Shardul Thakur has picked up 12 wickets in nine matches for the Super Giants in IPL 2025. He has the best bowling figures of 4/24 and a economy of 9.40. Thakur has always been amongst the wickets in the Indian Premier League but concedes way too many runs.
Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first. South African power-hitter David Miller is likely to come in as the impact sub in the second innings.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have made a couple of changes. They have dropped spinners Micthell Santner and Vignesh Puthur. Karn Sharma returns from his injury and finds a place in the playing 11. They have also handed South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch his IPL debut.
Jasprit Bumrah has been named in the impact subs list and will replace Rohit Sharma during the second innings.
