Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have dropped their regular opener Rachin Ravindra in Match 43 of the Indian Premier League 2025 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 25. South African youngster Dewald Brevis will replace Rachin in the playing 11, CSK captain MS Dhoni confirmed at the toss.
Rachin Ravindra has scored 191 runs in eight innings for CSK in IPL 2025 at a strike rate of 128.19. He has a highest score of an unbeaten 65 and has hit 18 boundaries and four sixes in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Dewald Brevis, who made his IPL debut in 2022 will make his CSK debut today.
Sam Curran and Deepak Hooda find place in playing 11 for CSK vs SRH match
England all-rounder Sam Curran has made it to the Chennai Super Kings playing 11 for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He replaces Jamie Overton in the team, who has failed to pick up a single wicket in three matches in his debut IPL season,
Meanwhile, Sam Curran will be playing his third match when he takes on the field against SRH. He has scored 12 runs and has been wicketless in two matches thus far in IPL 2025.
Deepak Hooda has replaced Vijay Shankar in another change for the five-time IPL champions. Hooda has scored 7 runs in four matches, with his best score in IPL 2025 of 4. Vijay Shankar, on the other hand, has scored 118 runs in six matches, including a half-century. The local boy has a highest score of 69* in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.
