Match no. 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is set to be played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Assam, on Wednesday, March 26. Rajasthan will be playing a few home games at Barsapara, also known as the Assam Cricket Association Stadium, along with matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals started their campaign with a 44-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a high-scoring game where a total of 528 runs were scored in just 40 overs. It’s unprecedented, but this is the reality of modern cricket, where power-hitting reigns over every other skill set.

Kolkata Knight Riders also suffered a defeat in their season-opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. While batting first, KKR scored 174/8 in 20 overs. It was a decent total, but RCB, led by Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 59 runs, made light work of the chase, winning the match in just 16.2 overs.

So, in a sense, the task is cut out for both Rajasthan and Kolkata, as losing another match will put even more pressure on both teams.
