Virat Kohli is all set to enter history books yet again. The star Indian batter is on the cusp of breaching the 14,000 runs mark in ODI cricket. Kohli needs only 94 runs to become the fastest-ever batter to achieve this astonishing feat. Currently, the 36-years batting stalwart stands right behind his mentor Sachin Tendulkar in the list of all-time batters with the most runs in ODI cricket.
Virat has amassed 13,906 runs in 283 ODI innings, averaging an outstanding average of 58.18 with a strike rate of 93.54. The right-hander is just 94 runs short of achieving this milestone and he has got 3 ODI’s against England to do so. Sachin Tendulkar is the only other batter apart from Kohli to breach the 14,000 runs mark. Sachin achieved this milestone against Pakistan in February 2006 while scoring a ton. Virat Kohli has a brilliant chance of becoming the fastest to achieve this feat. The 3-match ODI series against England should be enough for the great man to get his name registered in the record books yet again.
