Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 45 of the Indian Premier League 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI are fourth in IPL 2025 points table with 10 points from nine matches, including five wins. Meanwhile, LSG are sixth with 10 points from nine games, having won five and lost four.
During the previous meeting between the two sides, Lucknow Super Giants won the match by 12 runs. Batting first, the Super Giants scored 203/8 in 20 overs. Openers Mitchell Marsh (60 off 30) and Aiden Markram (53 off 38) provide Lucknow with a great start. Ayush Badoni (30) and David Miller’s quickfire 27 guided LSG past 200.
Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya was the pick of the bowlers, having returned with figures of 4/36 in four overs. In reply, MI lost their openers quickly in the run chase. Naman Dhir (46 off 24) and Suryakumar Yadav (67 off 43) were the top performers. Hardik Pandya scored 28 off 16 but Mumbai finished with 191/5 and fell short in the chase.

Lucknow Super Giants have won the toss and will bowl first. Maynak Yadav has returned from his injury and will replace Shardul Thakur in the playing 11.
Mumbai Indians were looking to bowl first too. They have made two changes. Karn Sharma replaces Mitchell Santner and Corbin Bosch makes his debut in place of Vignesh Puthur.
