Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga will miss Rajasthan Royals’ match against Mumbai Indians due to a niggle on Thursday (April 1). The IPL 2025 match between the two sides will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals have made two changes to their side against Mumbai Indians. Alongside Hasaranga, Sandeep Sharma will also miss out due to a broken finger. Akash Madhwal will replace him in the playing 11.

Kumar Kartikeya replaces Wanindu Hasaranga in RR vs MI match

Left-arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya has replaced Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga in RR playing 11 for the 50th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 against Mumbai Indians. He played his first match of IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings.

Kumar bowled figures of 0/10 against CSK and delivered spells of 1/21 and 1/25 against Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, respectively. He has picked up two wickets in three matches, with an economy of 9.33.

Overall, Kumar Kartikeya has picked up 12 wickets across three editions in the Indian Premier League, since making his debut in IPL 2022 for Mumbai Indians.
