Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday (April 30) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. PBKS have made a forced change as their overseas all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is out due to a thumb fracture.
Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer confirmed that Maxwell has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2025 season. He also stated that the team is yet to decide on a replacement.
Suryansh Shedge replaces Glenn Maxwell in CSK vs PBKS match
Suryansh Shedge has replaced Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell in PBKS playing 11 for their match against Chennai Super Kings. He made his IPL debut this year against Gujarat Titans on March 25. The 22-year-old player has score six runs from a couple of innings.
Suryansh has played four matches in IPL 2025 and will make his fifth appearance of the season against five-time champions CSK. He has scored 137 runs and picked up eight wickets in 13 T20 matches across the last two editions of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
