After Mumbai Indians moved to the top of the table with an impressive win over Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be looking to reclaim the top spot when they take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match no-52 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. This match will start at 07:30 PM (IST) on Saturday, May 03, 2025 and will be played at RCB’s home venue M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
IPL 2025 RCB vs CSK Pitch Report
The pitch at Chinnaswamy Stadium is traditionally favorable for batsmen, especially in T20 formats. The combination of short boundaries and a fast outfield allows for high-scoring games. Batsmen can expect the ball to come onto the bat nicely, facilitating aggressive stroke play.
However, early in the innings, pacers might find some assistance due to initial moisture, offering swing and seam movement. As the match progresses, the surface tends to become even more conducive for batting. Spinners may find some turn during the middle overs, but overall, it’s a venue where batsmen usually dominate.

The story so far
RCB’s success this season is purely down to the wise decision taken by the management during the IPL mega auction last year. They bought well this time around, with the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Tim David, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Phil Salt, all joining the team ahead of the IPL 2025. Now look at their record, 7 wins in 10 matches and a chance to move to the top of the table with a win in this game. On Current form, RCB look like a team that is capable of winning the trophy.
For Chennai Super Kings, the season couldn’t have gone worse. First, they lost their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to an injury, and second, most players, some high-profile, are lacking consistency. This has resulted in CSK reeling at the foot of the table. Also, CSK will be missing the playoffs once again. The only thing worth playing for the five-time champions is how they can avoid finishing as the worst team in the league.
