Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prevailed in an emphatic fashion over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 52 of IPL 2025 on Saturday (May 3) in Bengaluru.

Invited to bat first, RCB were off to a stunning start with their openers Virat Kohli (62) and Jacob Bethell (55). The duo built a 97-run stand in less than 10 overs and laid a strong platform for the side.

Although, the subsequent batters couldn’t provide much contributions, Romario Shepherd (53* off 14) produced a sensational knock to boost RCB’s total to 213. Matheesha Pathirana was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for the visitors.

In response, Ayush Mhatre played with a positive intent to put CSK in the driver’s seat. Despite the dismissals of Shaik Rasheed and Sam Curran, Mhatre got support from Ravindra Jadeja, who steered the team in a fine fashion.

Mhatre went on to play a sublime knock of 94 off 48 balls. Although, Ravindra Jadeja played a fighting knock of 77* off 45 balls, he could not win the game for the side. With 15 needed off six balls, Yash Dayal managed to help RCB again secure a thrilling victory against CSK.

Lungi Ngidi was the top performing bowler for the home side with figures of 3/30 off four overs.
