Who is Mitchell Owen?
Mitchell Owen is a 23-year-old cricketer from Tasmania, Australia. He made headlines earlier this year when he smashed the joint-fastest century in Big Bash League (BBL) history, scoring a 39-ball hundred in the final for Hobart Hurricanes. Owen has played 34 T20 matches, amassing 646 runs, including two centuries, with a highest score of 108. Additionally, he has taken 10 wickets in the format, showcasing his all-round capabilities.
Owen has represented multiple teams across various leagues worldwide. Apart from playing for Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL, he has also featured for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL and Paarl Royals in the SA20 league. His aggressive batting style and ability to contribute with the ball make him a valuable addition to Punjab Kings as they aim to strengthen their squad following Maxwell’s injury setback.
