Punjab Kings (PBKS) have roped in the services of New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson as a replacement for Lockie Ferguson, who is ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) due to a hamstring injury.
Lockie Ferguson picked up an injury on April 12, 2025 in the 27th match of the Indian Premier League when Punjab Kings took on Sunrisers Hyderabad away from home. He got injured while bowling his second ball in the match. Marcus Stoinis bowled the remaining four deliverers to complete the over.
A look at Lockie Ferguson’s performances in IPL 2025
Lockie Ferguson picked up five wickets in four matches for Punjab Kings in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League. He has an economy of 9.18 and a best bowling figures of 2/37, which he registered against Rajasthan Royals in a losing cause.
Ferguson picked up a couple of wickets against Chennai Super Kings and returned with figures of 2/40. He also picked up a wicket against Lucknow Super Giants (1/26) in his first appearance this season.

Kyle Jamieson made his IPL debut in 2021 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He picked up nine wickets in as many encounters, with a best bowling figures of 3/41. The 30-year-old player was part of the Chennai Super Kings setup for IPL 2023 but failed to play a single game for the franchise.
