Match 58 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) has been called off due to power outage.

After choosing to bat first, Punjab Kings scored 122/1 in 10.1 overs before the match was halted as two floodlights stopped working due to technical failure. Priyansh Arya scored 70 runs off 34 balls, while Prabhsimran Singh played an unbeaten 50-run knock off 28 balls.

Why was the PBKS vs DC match called off midway?

The match was cancelled due to a significant technical failure at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium during the 11th over.

“Due to a power outage in the area, one of the light towers at the HPCA stadium malfunctioned. BCCI regrets the inconvenience caused to the in-stadium attendees,” an official statement said.

However, according to multiple reports published by various media houses, the match was stopped in between and called off due to security reasons. However, there has been no official word on the same yet.
