The IPL 2025 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday (April 26) has been called off due to incessant rain in Kolkata.
PBKS’ decision to bat first went in their favor, as Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh provided a good start to the visitors, accumulating 56 runs in the first six overs.
Although, Prabhsimran slowed down after the powerplay, Arya increased the team’s tempo. The southpaw continued to hit delightful strokes, before getting dismissed for 69 off 35.
Meanwhile, Prabhsimran found his groove soon, and displayed relentless hitting. His 49-ball 83-run knock was put to an end by Vaibhav Arora. Thereafter, Shreyas Iyer (25*) remained unbeaten to take PBKS to 201.
In response, KKR were at 7/0 after the first over, before rain showers erupted.
