IPL 2025, KKR vs CSK Match Report: Dewald Brevis, Noor Ahmad help Super Kings end their four-game winless streak

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) managed to grab their third win of IPL 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday (May 7) in Kolkata.

After choosing to bat first, KKR lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz (11) early. However, Sunil Narine (26) and Ajinkya Rahane (48) ensured the team steered at a comfortable rate.

Thereafter, Andre Russell (38) and Manish Pandey (36*) played impressive knocks to take the home side to a healthy total of 179. Meanwhile, Noor Ahmad was the wrecker-in-chief for CSK with figures of 4/31.

Dewald Brevis headlines CSK’s successful chase

In response, Ayush Mhatre and Devon Conway could not deliver for the visitors, as they were dismissed for ducks. However, debutant Urvil Patel (31) and Dewald Brevis (52) returned with quick knocks to keep CSK in the hunt.

Shivam Dube (45) brought the team closer, while MS Dhoni (17*) remained unbeaten to take CSK past the finish line. Vaibhav Arora was the pick of the bowlers for KKR with three wickets.
