Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a 38-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 51 of IPL 2025 on Friday (May 2) in Ahmedabad.

Invited to bat first, the Titans were again off to a credible start. Captain Shubman Gill (76) and Sai Sudharsan (48) stitched a sensational 87-run stand in less than seven overs.

Thereafter, Jos Buttler (64) played a sublime knock, while finding support from Washington Sundar (21). As a result, GT posted a colossal 224-run total on the board. Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for the visitors.

In response, SRH began the innings in a proficient fashion, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. However, their 49-run stand was broken when Head (20) was dismissed in the fifth over.

The No. 3 batter Ishan Kishan continued his disappointing run with a knock of 13 off 17 balls. Although, Sharma returned to form with a 74-run knock, he could not find enough support from the other batters. In the end, SRH were restricted to 186/6. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj bagged two wickets each for the Titans.
