Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 46 of IPL 2025 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It was their sixth win on the trot away from home in this season.
The Capitals were off to a good start with Abishek Porel (28 off 11), before he was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood. His dismissal slowed down the team’s innings, as veteran batters Faf du Plessis (22) and KL Rahul (41 off 39) played with low strike rates.
Tristan Stubbs (34 off 18) was a key contributor in the end to take DC to a defendable total of 162. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors with figures of 3/33. Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood picked up two wickets and Krunal Pandya and Yash Dayal settled for one each.
Thereafter, RCB were in a spot of bother, losing three wickets in the powerplay, with DC skipper Axar Patel picking two wickets in the same over.
Nevertheless, Pandya (73* off 47) and Virat Kohli (51 off 47) played clutch knocks to help RCB seal the chase in a thrilling fashion.
