India-England are currently locking horns in the 3rd IND vs ENG ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, today. The toss took place a while ago, and yet again, it was Jos Buttler who won the third consecutive time in this series, but this time he has decided to field first.

At the toss, Rohit revealed that the Indian cricket team made not 1 or 2 but 3 changes to their playing 11. Mohammad Shami, Varun Chakravarthy, and Ravindra Jadeja have been left out for Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh.

Why is Mohammad Shami Not Playing IND vs ENG 3rd ODI?

At the toss, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma revealed that Mohammad Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested, whereas, Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out due to a sore calf.

I wanted to bat first and put runs on the board because we bowled first in the last two games. It was important for us to get a win in the last game. The fielders portrayed themselves well in the last two games, a lot of young blood. We want to continue to do well in the field. (On Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy) They are pretty new in their careers so we want to keep the pressure away from them, let them do their own and they have got a lot of potential. We have made some changes – Jadeja and Shami have been rested, unfortunately Varun has a sore calf. So, Washi, Kuldeep and Arshdeep come into the side.- Rohit said at the toss.
