Indian Cricket Team is locking horns against England in the second ODI at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The hosts are already 1-0 up in the series and a win in this game will take them to a 2-0 unassailable lead. Ahead of the second ODI, both teams have made a few changes to their eleven.

Team India has brought in 2 changes as Virat Kohli returns to the squad replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Varun Chakravarthy makes his ODI debut replacing Kuldeep Yadav. England, on the other hand, have opted for 3 changes to their lineup from the last game. Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, and Jofra Archer have made way for Jamie Overton, Mark Wood, and Gus Atkinson.

Varun Chakravarthy makes his ODI Debut

Varun Chakravarthy, who has been a nemesis for the English side in the T20Is, has made his ODI debut today. The mystery spinner has made it to the eleven replacing Kuldeep Yadav and received his ODI cap from Ravindra Jadeja.

During the toss, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma clearly mentioned that Jaiswal had to make way for the returning Virat Kohli, whereas, Kuldeep Yadav has been rested for this game.

It was a good performance in the first game. That’s what I loved about. The energy was very good despite not being on the field for a while. It was superb to watch after losing two wickets. Shreyas prides himself on that intent and attitude and not to forget the contributions of Shubman and Axar as well. Black soil pitch, not sure. Maybe play on the slower side, that’s what I expect. Two changes, Jaiswal makes way for Virat. Kuldeep is rested so Varun makes his debut.
